Apartment MIMI is ideally located halfway between Zadar and Dubrovnik, making it a perfect base for exploring the stunning Dalmatian coast. Travelling by car is the most convenient and flexible option. Getting around by bus or on foot is possible, though less recommended due to limited services and safety concerns when walking along the main coastal road. A local taxi service can also be called, but wait times may vary, especially outside peak season.

By Car

Driving is the easiest way to explore the area. Free parking is available on-site, and the scenic D8 coastal road connects you directly to nearby destinations. The historic town of Omiš is just a 10-minute drive away, offering supermarkets, markets, restaurants, and boat tours. Makarska can be reached in about 30 minutes, while Split is around 40–45 minutes away via a beautiful drive along the coast.

By Bus

Local buses run along the D8 road, approximately a 5-minute walk from the apartment. They connect Lokva Rogoznica with Omiš, Makarska, and Split. While affordable and scenic, bus schedules can be infrequent and may not align well with travel plans, especially outside of the summer season.

On Foot

Several beaches, bars, and restaurants are within walking distance of the apartment, making a car-free stay possible for guests who prefer to stay local. However, walking along the D8 road can be dangerous due to limited pedestrian pathways and fast-moving traffic. Local amenities are limited, so a car is strongly recommended for comfort and convenience.

By Boat

For a unique experience, you can take boat excursions from Omiš or Makarska to nearby islands such as Brač and Hvar. Omiš also offers rafting adventures on the Cetina River, a popular activity for nature and thrill seekers.

Apartment MIMI is perfectly located in Lokva Rogoznica, a peaceful seaside village just 8 km from Omiš, 26 km from Makarska, and 30 km from Split. The area offers a tranquil escape with breathtaking sea views, lush pine forests, and easy access to some of the Adriatic coast’s most stunning beaches.

The nearest beach, Artina Beach, is just a 5-minute walk (450 meters) away and is known for its turquoise, crystal-clear waters, natural beauty, and the shade provided by surrounding pine trees. Ivašnjak Beach, a quiet pebble beach ideal for swimming and sunbathing, is around a 10-minute walk (700 meters) from the apartment. A little further, approximately 1.5 km away, lies Plavi Rat Beach, a spacious and relaxed spot popular with both couples and families.

Restaurants

For dining, the beloved Restaurant Skalinada is just a 3-minute walk away, serving grilled seafood and traditional Dalmatian specialties. A bit further along the coast, Beach Bar and Restaurant Morska Vila (around 3.5 km away) offers a broader Mediterranean menu or a quick bite.
